On the first day of Sanskrit week, Sanskrit week was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Dr. Suresh Kumar Sharma, President of Chhattisgarh Sanskrit Vidyamandalam at Sri Ram Gurukulam Sanskrit Vidyapeeth Ashram, Pahdor, Pachpedi block, Patan district, Durg. On this occasion, the message of the Sanskrit week given by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel was first read by the teacher of the institution, Mr. Dayaram Purohit.
Various Yogasanas including Shloka recitation, Gita recitation, Sanskrit songs were presented by the students of Gurukulam in the ceremony. The importance of Sanskrit was highlighted by the guests present in the programme. On this occasion, the founders of the ashram, Dr. Arun Madhariya, Dr. B.K. Raghu Assistant Director District Education Officer Office Durg, Secretary Chhattisgarh Sanskrit Vidyamandalam Mrs. Alka Dani, Assistant Director Mr. Laxman Sahu, Acharyagan of the organization and a large number of Sanskrit Anuragi villagers were present.
