The 36th National Games in the country was inaugurated today in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. It was inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. On this occasion, the Sports and Youth Welfare Minister of Chhattisgarh, Shri Umesh Patel was specially present. It is worth noting that the National Games are being organized in the country after seven years.
On the inaugural occasion, the players of Chhattisgarh did an attractive march-past, in which players of many sports including squash, archery, fencing, wrestling, roller skating participated. It is worth noting that players from 8 Union Territories including 28 states of India are participating in this. Yogasan and Malkhamb have also been included in the National Games for the first time.
