Raipur, 04 November 2020. The Chisel craftsmanship training program was launched today at the Pranchapal Shilpagram in Chhattisgarh Handicrafts Development Board Bastar district. The training program was launched in the presence of Mr. Chandan Kashyap, Chairman, Chhattisgarh Handicrafts Development Board. On the occasion, Mr. Kashyap said that under the guidance of Village Industries Minister Guru Rudrakumar, the Handicrafts Development Board is constantly making efforts to make people financially self-reliant by connecting them with employment. On this occasion, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Handicrafts Development Board, Mr. Chandan Kashyap also visited Sabari Emporium at Shilpagram Parachanpal. During the discussion with the craftsmen, he said that the purchase rate of handicraft products should be increased.
Chhattisgarh Handicrafts Development Board Jagdalpur’s Mr. L.S. Watti said that through this training program at Shilpagram Parachanpal, 20 beneficiaries will be given advanced training in the artisan craftsmanship for two months. Each craftsman will be paid a scholarship of Rs 7200 per month during this training program. Assistant Director of Office Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), New Delhi, Mr. Lakhan Singh Meena, Handicrafts Promotion Officer Mr. Revathi Nandan Dewangan and others were present on the occasion.
