Raipur: In view of the spread of Kovid-19, instructions to stop operating all Anganwadi centers in the state

Distribution of ready-to-eat will be in the form of home accessservice,
nutrition and education awareness activities will continue except public programs, meetings.

Raipur 22 March 2021. In view of the current increasing prevalence of Kovid-19, the state government has issued an order to stop the operation of all Anganwadi centers and mini Anganwadi centers in the state with immediate effect till further orders. A circular to this effect has been issued by the Department of Women and Child Development from the Ministry of Nava Raipur to all divisional commissioners, collectors, district program officers and child development project officers, including departmental directors.
During the period of closure of Anganwadi centers and mini Anganwadi centers, ready-to-eat delivery will be made to all eligible beneficiaries of the category as per the provision. In place of hot food for 3 to 6 years old children, ready-to-eat prescribed for 6 months to 3 years old children and pregnant women will be given ready-to-eat meal in place of hot food to pregnant women. This material will not be distributed from the Anganwadi center and will be given as home access service.
Under the Chief Minister’s Nutrition Campaign, nutrition content will be distributed as ready-to-eat as per the menu set at the district level. During this time keeping in mind the protocol of Kovid, necessary coordination has been asked with the Health Department for monitoring the growth of children and for regular vaccination and health screening of children and women. It has been told in the circular that there will be no public programs such as Suchitan Chaupal, group meetings etc. but the activities of ECCE will be continued under health and nutrition education and vigilance campaign through home visits. Public activities, except meetings, can be continued continuously in nutrition fortnight.
Officers have been instructed to ensure safe storage of rice and other raw materials available in Anganwadi centers to prevent them from getting spoiled. Along with this, it has been said to maintain cleanliness in Anganwadi centers, ensure regular cleanliness. Along with this, instructions have been given by Anganwadi workers to ensure a continuous flow of online reports and other information.
