Under Kovid Vaccination Amrit Mahotsav, people of 18 to 59 years of age are also being given free vaccination dose.

Raipur. On 25 July 2022, in the last ten days (15 to 24 July) in the state, 16 lakh 25 thousand 792 people have got precaution doses to prevent corona. 24 lakh 95 thousand 168 citizens of the state have got the prevention dose done so far (by July 24). Under the Kovid Vaccination Amrit Mahotsav, free vaccination doses are being administered to people of 18 years to 59 years across the state from July 15 at all government Kovid vaccination centers. Earlier, free prescription doses were being administered at these centers only to health workers, frontline workers and persons 60 years of age and above. The Health Department has appealed to all the eligible people to apply precautionary doses to prevent corona infection.
On the 75th anniversary of the country’s independence, under the 75-day-long Kovid Vaccination Amrit Mahotsav, a booster dose of the Kovid vaccine will be administered to the people of 18 years to 59 years till 30th September. Under this campaign in the state, a target has been set to provide free prescription dose to one crore 70 lakh eligible people above the age of 18 years. To prevent corona infection, booster doses of Kovid vaccine are being provided free of cost in all government hospitals as well as at identified places.
Booster dose can be given after 6 months of second vaccine of corona vaccine
State Nodal Officer of Corona Vaccination and Director of National Health Mission, Mr. Vilas Sandipan Bhoskar informed that free of cost facility is being provided under Amrit Mahotsav. For this, instructions have been given to all the districts to conduct special action plans. This facility is being provided at all the Kovid vaccination centers of the state. Such people who have completed six months or 26 weeks of second vaccination of Kovid vaccine, they can visit these centers and get booster dose free of cost.
