Voter awareness related activities are also being run in local schools. Many activities are being organized to spread awareness about voting through various programs.
Officials said that on Saturday, the students of the local Swami Atmanand Excellent English Medium Higher Secondary School, Dhaurpur, took out a rally to create awareness among the voters for 100 percent voting in Dhaurpur, a center with less than 75 percent voting and by telling the villagers about the importance of voting. Made aware. Similarly, in Swami Atmanand Higher Secondary School, Batauli, rangoli was made for voter awareness and students were administered oath to vote and were asked to motivate their parents to vote. Voter awareness rangoli was also made in Government Higher Secondary School Sakhauli and voter awareness rally was taken out in Government Higher Secondary School Gumgara Kala. Voters were also motivated to vote through songs, music and dance in Gram Panchayat Gumgara Kala.
It is noteworthy that in the urban areas of Ambikapur assembly of Surguja district, continuous efforts are being made to create awareness in the polling stations due to lower than normal average turnout in the assembly general elections 2018. Officials are visiting the areas and contacting voters and after finding out the reasons for low turnout, they are going door-to-door to make voters aware about voting.
