Chief Minister inaugurates modern composite indoor firing range 'Lakshya' at Mana

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today inaugurated the modern Composite Indoor Firing Range ‘Lakshya’ at the Police Training School located at Mana in capital Raipur. During this, he flagged off new police vehicles to further improve the policing service and inaugurated and inaugurated various buildings including cyber station, women’s help desk equipped with modern technology and police facilities. According to international standards, the firing range ‘Lakshya’ has been constructed at a cost of Rs 6.67 crore, this will provide better and better training to the Chhattisgarh Police. The program was presided over by Home Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu.

मुख्यमंत्री श्री भूपेश बघेल ने इस अवसर पर सम्बोधित करते हुए कहा कि प्रदेश में शांति और सुरक्षा व्यवस्था में पुलिस सेवा की अहम भूमिका होती है। इसे ध्यान में रखते हुए छत्तीसगढ़ में पुलिस सेवा को सुदृढ़ बनाने हर आवश्यक कदम उठाए जा रहे हैं। इसके तहत उन्हें बेहतर वातावरण, बेहतर सुविधाएं तथा बेहतर संसाधन उपलब्ध कराने के लिए विशेष जोर दिया जा रहा है।

    Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that I am very happy to inaugurate the modern composite indoor firing range ‘Lakshya’ today under the efforts being made by the state government towards modernization of the police force. This will increase the strength and capability of the police force and they will be able to discharge their duties in a better way. He said that during the last five and a quarter years, you have done excellent work towards maintaining the peace and security of the state. As a result of which the law and order of our state is better than other states, this has been an important achievement of the policing service in the state.

    Addressing on the occasion, Home Minister Mr. Sahu said that in Chhattisgarh, under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, continuous work is being done for development as well as security by our government. Along with this, the policing service is being further strengthened by equipping it with state-of-the-art facilities. Addressing the program, Director General of Police Mr. Ashok Juneja and Additional Director General of Police Mr. Pradeep Gupta also informed about the innovative initiatives etc. being taken in the field of policing service in Chhattisgarh.

    On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel also inaugurated range level new cyber police stations in Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, Bastar and Surguja. In view of the increasing cyber crimes in the present scenario, these cyber police stations are being started for the prevention and quick action of cyber incidents and to curb these incidents. Also newly fortified police station buildings at Bade Dongar in Kondagaon district, Farasgaon and Sonpur in Narayanpur district, Balrampur Chalgali and Ramchandrapur in Balrampur district, Saraipali, Duhlu and Komakhan in Mahasamund district, Katekalyan in Dantewada district, Chilfi and Singhanpuri in Kabirdham district and Patankhas in Rajnandgaon district. also inaugurated
    Chief Minister Mr. Baghel laid the foundation stone of 16 non-gazetted and 32 head constables in 16th Vahini, Chasbal Narayanpur, residence for constables and police transit hostel buildings in districts Balrampur, Raipur and Durg. He also handed over the keys of 67 new two wheelers (scooties) for women help desks and 155 new Bolero vehicles for district police units to the police department.
    On this occasion, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Vikas Upadhyay, MLA Mr. Satya Narayan Sharma, Principal Secretary Home Mr. Manoj Pingua, Secretary Home Mr. Arun Dev Gautam, Additional Director General of Police Mr. Pawan Dev, Mr. Himanshu Gupta, Mr. SRP Kalluri, Mr. Vivekananda Sinha, Inspector General of Police Mr. Anand Chhabra, Mr. Ajay Yadav, Mr. O.P. Pal, Mr. Ratanlal Dangi, Mr. R.P. Sai, Dr. Sanjeev Shukla and other police officers and employees were present.
