Raipur, 18 September 2021. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that cooperative societies of the state have an important role in strengthening the cooperative movement in Chhattisgarh. For this, along with the procurement of paddy and distribution of manure, seeds, as well as activities conducted in Gauthans, there is a need to link cooperatives with cooperatives. The Chief Minister said that cow dung worth more than Rs 100 crore has been purchased in the state under the Godhan Nyay Yojana. The amount of cow dung purchase has also been paid to the cattle owners and collectors through cooperatives. Similarly, 32.94 crores to Gauthan committees and 21.94 crores to women self-help groups as dividend. 42 crore has also been paid through cooperatives. The distribution of vermi compost and super compost prepared in Gauthans is also being done through cooperative societies. Efforts are being made by the state government to link the activities conducted in Gauthans with cooperatives. On this occasion, the representatives of cooperative societies included in the delegation apprised the Chief Minister about their various problems. After considering their problems, the Chief Minister assured of necessary action.
Addressing the delegation, Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that the state government is providing input assistance to the farmers for agricultural work under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. In this scheme, farmers planting Kharif crops, Kodo-Kutki, fruits and vegetables will be given input assistance at the rate of Rs. 9 thousand per acre. Similarly, in lieu of paddy, a provision has been made to give input assistance of Rs.10,000 per acre to the farmers who plant Kodo-Kutki and Kharif crops. 10 thousand rupees per acre will be given to the farmers doing plantation for 3 years. Home Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu, Parliamentary Secretary Shri Vikas Upadhyay, Bemetara MLA Shri Ashish Chhabra were also present on the occasion.
