On the occasion of Chhattisgarhi Official Language Day at your residence office
While addressing the honor ceremony of Chhattisgarhi litterateurs and linguists on the occasion of Chhattisgarhi Official Language Day at his residence office here today, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said that Chhattisgarhi language and culture is our identity and identity. Behind the creation of the state of Chhattisgarh was the desire to maintain this identity and identity. The Chief Minister said that in the last three years, Chhattisgarh’s art, culture and language are being promoted continuously, in which Chhattisgarhi litterateurs and linguists have an important contribution. On this occasion, the Chief Minister honored 19 litterateurs-linguists of Chhattisgarhi official language by presenting them with Raj Gamcha and citation and congratulated them. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that even after the formation of the state, the work that should have been done to preserve the Chhattisgarhi language and culture was not done. Chhattisgarhi did become the official language, but the hesitation about speaking and writing Chhattisgarhi was not overcome. The situation has changed in the last three years, now Chhattisgarhi is being spoken from the ministry to big establishments and public programs. In the year 2019, Arpa-pari ke dhar… became our song. Now teaching in Chhattisgarhi and local dialects has started in schools.

The Chief Minister said that our government has worked to restore the pride of Chhattisgarhi language and culture. By giving holiday on Teej festivals of Chhattisgarh, we have awakened self pride among the people regarding Chhattisgarhi culture. On this occasion, litterateurs and linguists congratulated and congratulated Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for the proud achievement of being awarded the Mahatma Phule Samta Award. The Chief Minister said that the Mahatma Phule Samta Award received by him is indeed an honor of Chhattisgarh. Referring to the personality and work of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that he showed the way of life to the downtrodden, oppressed and despised people of the society and gave them respect in the society. Mahatma Phule worked for the establishment of equality in the lifelong society. He was a great social reformer. It is a matter of pride for Chhattisgarh to get respect in the name of such a great man.

Culture Minister Shri Amarjit Bhagat said on the occasion that Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has awakened the self-respect of the people of Chhattisgarh and Chhattisgarhia. He mentioned about the National Tribal Dance Festival and said that the film policy of Chhattisgarh has been made on the initiative of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Continuous efforts are being made to promote the artists. A provision of Rs 1 crore and Rs 5 crore has been made for Chhattisgarhi films awarded at national and international level respectively. Secretary, Culture Department, Mr. Anbalagan P. said that today a seminar was organized on the occasion of Rajbhasha Diwas, in which the litterateurs and linguists had in-depth discussions regarding the advancement of Chhattisgarhi language.
Senior litterateurs Dr. Bihari Lal Sahu, Mr. Har Prasad Nidar, Dr. Anusuiya Agarwal, Dr. Suresh Deshmukh, Mr. Punuram Sahu, Mr. Arun Nigam, Dr. Kusum Madhuri Toppo, Mr. Girvardas Manikpuri, Mr. Ramesh Vishwahar, Mr. Bandhu Rajeshwar Khare, Mr. Shyam Verma, Mr. Gulal Verma, Dr. Deendayal Sahu, Mr. Sandeep Akhil, Mr. Naveen Devangan, Ms. Lata Rathore, Dr. Sudhir Pathak, Ms. Jaymati Kashyap and Mrs. Tripti Soni were honored. The program was conducted by litterateur Mr. Vijay Mishra. Director Culture and Archeology Shri Vivek Acharya, Secretary of Chhattisgarh Official Language Commission Shri Anil Bhatpahari and other dignitaries were present on this occasion.
