New college inaugurated in Umreli of Korba district,

Following the announcement made by Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel during his visit to village Chirra of Korba district, a new government college was inaugurated in village Umreli today. Chief guest Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Charandas Mahant inaugurated the new college. During this, he said that the opening of a college in a village like Umreli is a big achievement. All this has been possible due to the efforts of the people of the area and the sensitivity of the Chief Minister. Children from nearby villages including Umreli will study in this college. Appealing to the villagers, he said that everyone must send their children to study and the students studying here should bring glory to Umreli by getting higher education.
While inaugurating the new college in Umreli, Assembly Speaker Dr. Mahant said that Chhattisgarh has developed rapidly under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel. Beneficiaries have benefited from many public welfare schemes. Apart from schemes like Narva, Garva, Ghurva and Bari, farmers have got benefits from Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Mazdoor Nyay Yojana, loan waiver. In the coming days, paddy will also be purchased in larger quantities and in larger amounts. He said that today schemes are reaching every village and development is taking place. Opening of colleges in remote villages including Umreli is an example of development, otherwise one had to go to Bilaspur, Nagpur to study in college. He appealed to everyone in the village to live together in brotherhood, cooperate with each other and participate in the development of the village and said that the future of the village children rests in the new college.
Congratulating everyone on the operationalization of the college in Umreli, MP Smt. Jyotsna Mahant said that in the coming time, no one will be deprived of higher education and a bright future will be created for the students. Collector Shri Saurabh Kumar described education as an important basis of development and said that higher education opens a new door in the lives of students.
On this occasion, Food Commission member Mr. Harish Parsai, President District Panchayat Kartala Mrs. Sunita Kanwar, former MLA Mr. Shyam Lal Kanwar along with other public representatives, officers-employees and a large number of distinguished citizens were present.
