Raipur, 07 February 2022. A meeting of empowered committee of cabinet ministers regarding the systematic development and utilization of unused government land owned by various departments, corporations, divisions, companies and boards was held today. In the meeting, recommendations were made by the empowered committee of cabinet ministers to decide policies and implementing agency for systematic development and utilization of unused government land in the state. It has been decided in the meeting that now the policies and the implementing agency will be decided at the cabinet level.
Public Works and Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, Housing, Environment and Transport Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, Food and Culture Minister Mr. Amarjeet Bhagat, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Subrat Sahoo, Public Works Department Secretary Mr. Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi, Co-operative Department (Special Secretary) Mr. Himshikhar Gupta, NRDA Chief Executive Officer and Housing Board Commissioner Dr. Ayyaz Tamboli, Town and Country Planning Director Mr. Jaiprakash Maurya, RDA Chief Executive Officer Mr. Abhijit Singh along with other senior officials were present on the occasion.
It is noteworthy that an empowered committee of ministers has been constituted by the state government for the systematic development and use of the aforementioned unused government land. The committee includes PWD minister, Food and Civil Supplies Minister, Transport and Forest Minister, and Urban Administration and Development Minister. In the high level committee meeting, discussions were held on formulating a development plan of unused government land.
Detailed discussions were also held on better redevelopment of vacant and unused lands of government departments, corporations and boards on the lines of Madhya Pradesh, renovation of dilapidated buildings and transfer of land to the implementing agency.
