Late Sukhdev Patar will be included in the list of freedom fighters, funds will be provided for Halba Social Building in Nava Raipur
Raipur, 09 June 2023, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has said that the history of Halba-Halbi society is very rich and glorious. He said that Mother Danteshwari is the deity of Halba society, thus this society is a follower of mother power. He said that the Halba society is a very ancient and elaborate society. Mr. Baghel was addressing the 83rd Foundation Day and Pratibha Samman ceremony of All India Halba-Halbi Samaj organized at the football ground of Dallirajhara, the steel city of Balod district, from the seat of the chief guest. The program was presided over by Dr. Devendra Mahla, Central President of All India Halba-Halbi Samaj.
In the ceremony, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel announced to provide Rs 1 crore for the construction of Devguri in Daundi and Dondilohara development blocks and to name Government College Mangchuwa after Shaheed Gand Singh. Apart from this, on the demand of the people of the society, he also announced to provide funds for the construction of social building of Halba Samaj in Nava Raipur after completion of land marking and purchase process. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that the pride of Halba Samaj, late Mr. Sukhdev Patar, resident of Kanker district, who fought against the British in the freedom struggle, will be included in the list of freedom fighters. He said that all the prescribed procedures are being completed for this. Mr. Baghel congratulated and best wishes to the people of Halba-Halbi Samaj on the occasion of the 83rd foundation day of the Samaj. Recalling the contributions of Shaheed Birsa Munda and Shaheed Gandsingh on the death anniversary of Amar Shaheed Birsa Munda, the Chief Minister bowed down to both these personalities as great sons of Mother India.
