Raipur: Higher Education Minister Umesh Patel hoisted the flag in Bilaspur

    Raipur, 26 January 2021. In Bilaspur district, the 72nd Republic Day was celebrated with joy and gaiety. Minister of Higher Education, Skill Development, Technical Education and Employment, Science and Technology, Sports and Youth Welfare, Mr. Umesh Patel hoisted the flag and took the salute of the parade at the main function held at the Police Ground of District Headquarters.
    Chief guest Mr. Patel read out the message of the Chief Minister to the people of the state. Pigeons symbolizing peace and balloons symbolizing joy were flown by the chief guest. In the ceremony, the chief guest honored the families of the martyrs by offering shawls and quince in the Naxal attack. Freedom fighters Shri Dayaram Kalwani and Shri Nandu Bhange were honored with shawl and quince by visiting their house. Citation was presented to the Corona Warriors, Revenue Department, Municipal Corporation, Police, Health Department officials and employees for their outstanding work in tackling the Corona epidemic at the ceremony. Ayushman Bharat and Dr. Community Health Center Kota and Community Health Center Bilha were awarded for excellent work under the Khubchand Baghel Health Assistance Scheme. Public Health Center Ganiyari and Shri Ramcare Hospital were awarded for best services. On this occasion, outstanding players of baseball and martial arts were also honored.
    District police force men and district police force women, district home guard men and district home guard women contingents attended. Public representatives, officers and employees of various departments, distinguished citizens were present in the program.
