Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court, Bilaspur Mr. Ramesh Sinha reached Raigarh for surprise inspection on August 22, 2023 after hearing the cases of the High Court. While going to Raigad, he also inspected the Shakti Court.
It is noteworthy that there are courts of Additional District and Sessions Judges and Civil Judges in Sakti. At the time of inspection, hearing of cases was going on in the courts and the employees were working. The parking system in Sakti Court was found to be very poor. There was no proper arrangement for the advocates to sit. The furniture in the verandah of the court was kept in a dilapidated condition and in disarray. The electric wires were also visible in the open condition in a haphazard manner in the verandah. There was no cleanliness in the court. The kiosk machine kept in the verandah was closed and it was covered with dust. The infrastructure of the court was not in line with the dignity of the court. Seeing the said disorder, the Chief Justice expressed displeasure and gave necessary guidelines for improvement. The Chief Justice also met the advocates and inquired about their problems.
After this, the District Court Raigarh was inspected by the Chief Justice. At the time of inspection, judicial officers were presiding in the courts and hearing of cases was going on. He inspected almost all the chambers of the District Court. The District and Sessions Judge, Raigarh was directed to keep the cases properly arranged in the record room. Instructions were also given for cleaning the water filter and its surroundings. After this he met the advocates. The advocates honored him with flowers and garlands. The advocates requested the Chief Justice for an address, on which he gave an address in front of the present advocates. Thereafter, he also took a meeting with the judicial officers and gave necessary instructions.
Sakti’s Collector Ms. Nupur Rashi Panna and SP Mr. M.R. at Baradwar Rest House while returning from Raigad. Ahire met the Chief Justice. He was directed by the Chief Justice to make the infrastructure of Sakti Court in line with the dignity of the court. Registrar General Mr. Arvind Kumar Verma and Additional Registrar cum PPS Mr. MVLN Subrahmanyam were also present in the surprise inspection along with the Chief Justice.
