Raipur. 31 March 2021. Health Minister T.S. Singhdeo today reviewed the progress of corona vaccination at the state-level Kovid-19 Command and Control Center and the arrangements being made to control Kovid-19. He has given instructions to investigate 40 thousand samples daily in view of increasing cases of corona infection in the state. He called for increasing the number of beds with oxygen facility in Kovid hospitals. Mr. Singhdev, in the third phase of corona vaccination starting from April 1, to motivate citizens above 45 years of age to get more number of vaccinations and to ensure all necessary arrangements by increasing the number of vaccination sessions in line with the goal gave instructions. A target has been set to vaccinate 58 lakh 67 thousand people of this age group in the state.
Health Minister Mr. Singhdev reviewed the facilities available at Kovid Hospitals and Covid Care Centers, Home Isolation System, Oxygen Supply, ICU and HDU facility, vaccination preparations as per the new target and contact tracing of the infected for the treatment of Corona Infections. . He instructed to take action on violation of protocol by patients being treated while in home isolation. He also inquired about the progress of four new virology labs being set up in Korba, Mahasamund, Kanker and Korea. Additional Chief Secretary of Health Department, Mrs. Renu G. Pillai, Secretary Mrs. Shehla Nigar, Commissioner Dr. C.R. Prasanna, Director of Health Services, Mr. Neeraj Bansod, Director of National Health Mission, Dr. Priyanka Shukla and CGMSC (Chhattisgarh Medical Service Corporation) Managing Director of Kartikeya Goyal was also present in the meeting.
In charge of Corona vaccination officer, Dr. Priyanka Shukla told in the meeting that a total of 18 lakh 62 thousand 119 doses of Corona vaccine have been applied so far in the state. Its first vaccine has been given to citizens above 60 years of age and one million 43 thousand 233 people with comorbidity from 45 years to 59 years. Two lakh 89 thousand 406 health workers have been given the first dose of vaccine against Kovid-19 and second dose on one lakh 84 thousand 546. At the same time, two lakh 26 thousand 587 frontline workers have been given the first vaccine and one lakh 18 thousand 347 second vaccine has also been vaccinated. An average of 30 thousand 588 samples have been checked daily in the state between March 24 and March 30 to identify the corona infected.
