Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri T.S. Singhdev today visited the Health Expo (Medex-2023) organized at a private hotel in Raipur. The three-day expo has been organized by the Department of Health in association with the Chhattisgarh chapter of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Indian Dental Association (IDA) and Association of Health Care Providers – India (AHPI).
Renowned companies from India and abroad who manufacture and supply medical equipment, lab equipment, medical furniture, medical clothing and consumables are participating in this expo, which runs from June 14 to June 16. Human resource and other service provider companies in the field of health have also set up their stalls here. Along with many big hospitals and private medical colleges of the state, stalls have also been set up here by the Chief Medical and Health Officer’s office of many districts.
During the observation of the Health Expo, the Health Minister Shri Singhdev inquired about the use, price and features of the medical and lab equipment displayed here. He also saw the demo of the machines. Mr. Singhdev visited all the stalls and discussed with the representatives of manufacturers, suppliers and service provider companies. Thanking all the companies participating in the expo, he said that information about different types of medical equipment and machines is available here under one roof. The Health Minister told the companies participating in the expo that continuous work is being done to create a manufacturer and supplier friendly system for the supply of medical equipment, consumables and medicines in the state. With this, along with speeding up their supply, the vendors associated with the health department will also be facilitated. During the visit of Mr. Singhdev to Health Expo, Commissioner of Health Department, Dr. C.R. Prasanna and President of the Indian Medical Association, Dr. Rakesh Gupta were also present.
