Raipur: Hamar Chirai-Hamar Chinhari: Bird Festival concluded in Kopra, Bilaspur: message given to people for conservation and promotion of birds including environment

Raipur, 21 February 2021. Forest and Climate Change organized a one-day bird festival at village Kopra in Bilaspur forest division under ‘Hamar Chirai, Hamar Chinhari’ today. In this program organized under the guidance of Forest Minister Mr. Mohammed Akbar, photography, painting and rangoli etc. competition was also awarded to the participants.

On this occasion, MLA Takhatpur Smt. Rashmi Singh termed the bird festival program as important in bringing awareness towards environmental protection among the people. He also inspired people for the conservation and promotion of birds by expressing their views in the program. During this time, bird’s eye view of birds was done with enthusiasm from the scaffolding specially designed by the bird lovers and the villagers. Today in Copra, the entire event was also organized as a plastic-free program. Under this, garbage was arranged at different places. At the end of the program, in the evening, the areas around the Copra reservoir were cleaned and the garbage released. During the program, people were given full message for conservation and promotion of birds including environment.
The program includes Commissioner Bilaspur Mr. Sanjay Alang, Member Secretary of State Biodiversity Board Mr. Arun Pandey, Chief Conservator of Forests Mr. Anil Soni, Mrs. Sanjita Gupta and Mr. Navid Shujauddin, Deputy Director Achanakmar Tiger Reserve Connie Mr. Satyadev Sharma, Forest Officer, Mr. Kumar Nishant and birds. Done in the presence of the beloved and about 500 villagers.
