On the occasion of the sixth foundation day of the Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission, on April 25, a one-day group special yoga practice program will be organized at the Subhash Stadium in the capital Raipur from 6 am to 7 am. About one to two thousand participants will participate in this. After the yoga session, a public awareness rally (walking march) will be taken out towards health from 7 am. The rally will be attended by Mr. Gyanesh Sharma, chairman of the Yoga Commission, respected legislators of Raipur city and prominent public representatives. This awareness rally will start from Subhash Stadium and end at City Kotwali, Jaistambh Chowk via Shastri Chowk and end back at Subhash Stadium.
It may be noted that the Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission, run under the Social Welfare Department, is continuously making efforts to promote yoga in the state, to make citizens adopt a healthy and disease-free lifestyle, to create public awareness about health, and to include regular yoga practice in daily routine.
