On the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev, relief funds are being sanctioned to the people affected by natural disasters. So far, relief funds worth Rs. 298.66 crore have been sanctioned in the state in cases of drought, flood, excessive rainfall, fire, accident, hailstorm, storm etc. All the collectors of the state have been instructed to immediately sanction relief funds to the victims of natural disasters.

Information on the loss caused by natural disaster at the state level is being collected and provided to the victims and its continuous monitoring is being done. The approved grant assistance amount of Rs 298 crore 66 lakh 55 thousand has been released by the state government to all 33 districts for the financial year 2024-25. A provision of Rs 533 crore 60 lakh has been made for the State Disaster Relief Fund in the budget of the year 2024-25. Similarly, a provision of Rs 50 crore has been made for the National Disaster Relief Fund. A provision of Rs 133 crore 40 lakh has been made for the State Disaster Reduction Fund as well as a provision of Rs 3.26 crore for direction and administration. A provision of Rs 58 lakh has been made by the state government for analyzing and preparing plans for disasters.
