A grand event of the National Ramayana Festival is going to be held at Ramlila Maidan in Raigad from June 01 to 03. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel will reach Raigarh on June 01 for the inauguration ceremony of the festival. He will unveil the statue of Chhattisgarh Mahtari installed in the collector’s office premises here before attending the Ramayana festival. On this occasion, the Chief Minister will gift development works worth more than Rs. 465 crore to Raigarh district, in which 59 development and construction works costing Rs. Inauguration of 53 constructed works is included.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel will inaugurate 2 Hummer labs costing more than Rs. 58 lakh in Dharamjaygarh and Pusaur development blocks with the aim of providing health facilities to the people of remote areas. He will also inaugurate the cheap drug store Dhanwantri Medical in District Hospital Raigarh. With a view to providing guidance to the youth preparing for competitive examinations and providing them a conducive environment for preparation, facilities have been expanded at the Chief Minister’s Youth Center at Gharghoda, the Chief Minister will also inaugurate the upgradation works here. Hi-tech has been made while upgrading the district library operated in Raigarh and necessary facilities have been increased for the students. It will also be inaugurated by the Chief Minister.
Similarly, 62 works worth Rs 186 crore 39 lakh of construction departments are included under other inauguration, Bhoomipujan and foundation stone laying. Which includes construction and renovation/upgradation work of roads, school buildings and other buildings. Under Municipal Corporation Raigarh, road improvement work costing Rs 14 crore 39 lakh 71 thousand, community building construction work is included in the ward. Works worth Rs 38 crore 24 lakh 70 thousand are included under Panchayat and Rural Development Department. Under the Public Health Engineering Department, 27 groups of tap water at a cost of Rs 107 crore 68 lakh 20 thousand, Solar based tap water works included. Bhoomipujan work of the District Transport Office is included at a cost of Rs 95 lakh 95 thousand under the Transport Department. Under Forest and Climate Change Department, 12 works are included at a cost of Rs 4 crore 58 lakh 63 thousand. Construction work of 50 seater pre-matric tribal boys hostel at 3 places at a cost of Rs 4 crore 68 lakh 70 thousand under Tribal Development Department and construction work of 5 bridges at a cost of Rs 108 crore 25 lakh under Public Works Department bridge division is also included.

On June 1, the first day of the inauguration of the National Ramayana Festival, the Chief Minister and other guests will arrive on the stage from 3 pm. After that there will be lamp lighting and Rajgeet and recitation of Hanuman Chalisa by local artists and Pandits/priests.
There will be a march past of invited foreign and interstate artists on this occasion. From 4.30 to 5 pm there will be a presentation by the Cambodian foreign team. From 5.15 to 7.30 pm, there will be a competition based on Aranya Kand among inter-state Ramayana troupes in which teams from Uttarakhand, Karnataka and Chhattisgarh will participate. Nationally renowned artist (Indian Idol) Sanmukh Priya will perform Bhajan Sandhya from 7.30 pm to 9.00 pm and National renowned artist (Saregama fame) Sharad Sharma will present Bhajan Sandhya from 9.30 pm to 10.30 pm.
