Governor Shri Vishwabhushan Harichandan participated in the Swachhta Pakhwada that started from October 1 here today. Students of Raipur Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) also participated enthusiastically in this campaign. The Governor said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi started the Swachhta Pakhwada campaign from today and called upon the general public including public representatives to participate enthusiastically. He said that Mahatma Gandhi laid great emphasis on cleanliness. He considered cleanliness as service. Shri Governor appealed to the students to maintain cleanliness not only during the entire fortnight but always around them. The Prime Minister’s appeal has had an effective impact across the country and people spontaneously participate in the cleanliness campaign every year.
