Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uikey has signed the Chhattisgarh Land Revenue Code Amendment Bill 2022. This act will be called Chhattisgarh Land Revenue Code Amendment Act 2022. Under which section 158 mentioned in Chhattisgarh Land Revenue Code 1959 has been amended. After amendment, sub-section 4 has been added after sub-section (3) of section 158 of the Chhattisgarh Land Revenue Code, 1959 (No. 20 of 1959) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act). According to sub-section 4, every person holding land on the basis of any lease granted to him by the State Government or the Collector or the Allotting Officer. on the date of completion of twenty years from the date of such allotment, shall be deemed to be a Bhumiswami in relation to such land and shall be subject to all rights and liabilities conferred on and imposed on any Bhumiswami by or under this Code.
