On the occasion of International Youth Day, August 12, Governor Mr. Vishwabhushan Harichandan has congratulated and greeted the youth of the state.
The Governor said that the country’s progress takes place only through youth power. The purpose of celebrating Youth Day is to increase the participation of youth on social, economic and political issues and to underline their contribution in the development of the country. He said that the theme of this year’s International Youth Day has been declared by the United Nations Assembly as “Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World”. A good initiative for skill development in the environment and forest sector is also being taken by the Central and State Governments by associating the youth with green skills. Due to which positive results will emerge in the coming time in the direction of environment protection and climate change.
