Deputy Chief Minister and Minister in charge of Durg district, Shri Vijay Sharma said that the public welfare schemes of the state and central government should be implemented in a better way with complete transparency and efficiency in the district. All the beneficiaries should benefit from the schemes. Minister in charge Shri Sharma said the above while reviewing the departmental work of the officers in the Collectorate hall today. He gave strict instructions to the officers that there should not be any kind of negligence in the implementation of departmental schemes. MP Shri Vijay Baghel, MLAs Doman Lal Korsevada, Ishwar Sahu, Lalit Chandrakar, Gajendra Yadav, Rakesh Sen and Deepesh Sahu were also present in the review meeting.

Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sharma said that Kharif, seeds and fertilizers should be made available to farmers on time during the Kharif season. Special attention should be paid to ensure that farmers do not face any kind of problem. All eligible beneficiary farmers should be benefited from the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. He asked the Revenue Department officials to give priority to resolving revenue cases. Especially the responsibility of resolving the transfer, division of accounts, demarcation cases will be of the concerned Tehsildar and SDM. Minister-in-charge Mr. Sharma asked to promote water conservation in the district by installing water harvesting systems in government buildings and collecting water by making harvesting ponds in drains. He asked to convert the ponds constructed under the Amrit Sarovar Yojana into beautiful lakes, make pathways and plant Peepal, Banyan and Neem trees and build open gyms and public toilets. He asked to take information about computers, internet, Wi-Fi connections in the Gram Panchayats and connect all the Panchayats of the district with the said facilities soon. Officers should ensure to take necessary initiatives regarding increasing the income of the Panchayats. Keeping in mind the upcoming monsoon, Minister-in-charge Mr. Sharma has asked for necessary repairs of schools and hostels in the district. In the presence of MLAs and local public representatives, distribution of uniforms, books, bicycles and other materials to the students should be ensured in the presence of MLAs and local public representatives in the school admission festival. Minister-in-charge Mr. Sharma conducted a department-wise in-depth review of the schemes run by Panchayat and Rural Development, MNREGA, Pradhan Mantri Awas, activities of Multi Activity Center, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Chhattisgarh Rural Development Agency, Solid Waste Management in Urban Bodies, National Highway works, PDS system, Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, etc. The MLAs present in the meeting drew the attention of the Minister-in-charge towards the implementation of government schemes and local problems in the concerned area.

Collector Ms. Richa Prakash Chaudhary informed the Minister-in-charge about the implementation of Central and State Government schemes by the departments in the district. Also, the officials assured that it will be implemented in a better manner in the coming days. Superintendent of Police Mr. Jitendra Shukla gave information regarding gambling, betting and illegal liquor cases, action under Excise Act and NPDS Act and road accidents and challan proceedings etc. District Panchayat President Mrs. Pushpa Yadav, ADM Mr. Arvind Ekka, all SDMs and district head officers of all departments were present in the meeting.
