Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has said that Godhan Nyay Yojana has become a source of additional income for cattle herders, villagers, farmers and laborers. Since the inception of the Godhan Nyaya Yojana, an amount of about Rs 380 crore has been paid to the beneficiaries of the scheme, Gothan committees and women self-help groups in two years. This amount is a huge amount for these people. The villagers are fulfilling their small dreams with the amount they get from selling cow dung. The Chief Minister was addressing a virtual program organized for transfer of funds to the accounts of the beneficiaries of Godhan Nyaya Yojana at his residence office here today.
The Chief Minister made an online transfer of Rs 5 crore 99 lakh to the accounts of the beneficiaries in the programme. In this amount, in lieu of 2.2 quintal cow dung purchased from cattle herders, villagers, farmers and landless in Gothan in the fortnight from December 1 to 15, Rs 4 crore 41 lakh, Gothan committees Rs 94 lakh, accounts of women groups An amount of Rs.64 lakhs was transferred as dividend amount. Agriculture Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey, Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, Advisor to Chief Minister Mr. Pradeep Sharma, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Shishupal Sori, MLAs Mrs. Sangeeta Sinha and Dr. Laxmi Dhruv were also present in the programme.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that during the meeting, the villagers told that they are using the money earned from selling cow dung for their children’s education, buying ornaments, motorcycles, scooties and developing agricultural land. The Chief Minister said that farmers have donated more than 5 lakh quintals in Gauthans on the appeal of the state government for donation. Paddy harvesting work is almost over in the state. Even now, a large amount of para has been accumulated in the fields of many farmers. Arrangements should be made to bring this foot from the fields to the Gothans.
The Chief Minister said that the committees of our self-supporting Gothans are purchasing cow dung from their own funds. Out of the amount given for the purchase of cow dung for the last three fortnights, more amount is being given by the Gothan committees than the state government, in the fortnight from December 1 to 15, for the purchase of cow dung, the self-supporting Gothans of the state compared to the Agriculture Department. paid more amount. Out of Rs 4.41 crore paid to cow dung vendors today, Rs 2.75 crore has been paid by 4372 self-supporting Gothans from their own resources and Rs 1.66 crore has been paid by the Agriculture Department. This is a big change. He instructed the officers to increase the number of self-supporting Gothans and to encourage these Gothans. The Chief Minister said that the Gauthan committees, which are seeking permission to construct sheds in Gauthans, should be given permission. So far 32 by self-supporting knots.
Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey while addressing the program said that our Gothan villages have become centers of livelihood oriented activities. Gothans are being developed as Rural Industrial Parks. Their activities will increase even more in the coming times. Our Gauthans will prove to be milestones for the development of villages in the coming times. He said that so far Rs 192.86 crore has been paid to cow dung vendors and Rs 169.41 crore has been paid to Gauthan committees and women self-help groups for the purchase of cow dung. So far 96.43 lakh quintal cow dung has been procured under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana. More than 3 lakh 9 thousand 806 cattle rearers are getting benefited from the scheme.
He said that 11 thousand 288 gothans have been approved in the state, out of which 9,631 gothans have been built. Of these, there are 8,452 rural, 234 urban and 1,201 built-up Gothans of recurring grazing. 20.27 lakh quintal vermi compost was produced in Gauthans, out of which 16.41 lakh quintals have been sold. There are 83 thousand 509 women members in 11 thousand 187 self-help groups in Gothans, who have earned an income of 86.96 crores so far. Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Subrat Sahu, Agriculture Production Commissioner Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, Director of Animal Husbandry Department Mrs. Chandan Sanjay Tripathi, Deputy Secretary Agriculture Ms. Tulika Prajapati were present in the programme.
