Women of self-help groups in Gauthan are moving towards becoming socially and economically empowered. Godhan Nyaya Yojana where he got employment in preparing vermicompost. At the same time, additional income is also being generated from the sale of cow dung. Using the amount received from this scheme, women are now fulfilling many minor needs along with the schooling of their children. The women of the group are very happy to get employment near home. In true sense, the scheme has filled the colors of happiness in their lives.
          Adarsh ​​Gothan has been built in village Chaple, 20 km away from district headquarter Raigarh. Where 16 women self-help groups are associated with economic activities. Women here are manufacturing silk thread, sanitary pads, animal husbandry besides cocoon reeling work, marigold flower production, incense sticks, phenyl, soap, surf powder, dona-pattal manufacturing, file folders. A total of 4683.71 quintal cow dung has been purchased here from the year 2020 to May 2023. Where 1406 quintal vermicompost has been produced so far by Jai Maa Durga self-help group and an income of about Rs 4 lakh 20 thousand has been earned.
In Adarsh ​​Gothan Chaple, two women self-help groups are involved in silk thread manufacturing and they are getting an income of Rs.1832 per month. The work of construction of sanitary pads is being done by the women’s group working in Ujala village organization, where 7 women members have earned a profit of Rs 75 thousand so far. Shakambhari self-help group is doing poultry farming and Lakshmi self-help group is doing goat rearing. Wherein Saraswati women self-help group is doing cow rearing. Similarly, Kasturi women self-help group is doing fish farming, due to which they are getting good income every month.
