Raipur : Godhan Nyay Yojana shows the new way for the prosperity of state : Bhupesh Baghel

Raipur, 05 June 2022.Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel has said ”Godhan Nyay Yojana has opened a new way for the prosperity of the entire state. This scheme has brought prosperity to our villages and we have to pursue this plan with more strength”.

Today, he transferred an amount of Rs.15 crore 37 lakh to the beneficiaries of Godhan Nyay Yojana virtually in a program organised through video conferencing in Kanker. While addressing the program, he said that we have always paid the amount of our every scheme which provides direct economic benefits to the farmers, tribals, laborers, and the poor. We have paid for all schemes including Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana, Godhan Nyay Yojana, etc. Even during the Corona period, we did not let this cycle break.

He said,” I am touring the entire state. Bhent-Mulaqat campaign was started on 04th of May, on 05th May I was in Rajpur of Balrampur district, there I transferred an installment amount of Godhan Nyay Yojana. After this, on the martyrdom day of late Rajiv Gandhi which falls on May 21, another installment was paid when I was in Raipur. Today is June 05 and I am in Kanker, I am transferring the next installment amount of this scheme to you”.

In the program, he transferred an amount of Rs.15 crore 37 lakh online to the beneficiaries of Godhan Nyay Yojana. This includes the amount of Rs. 3 crore 36 lakh for the cow dung purchased, and Rs. 12 crores 01 lakh as dividend for Gothan committees and self-help groups. Out of this, a dividend of Rs 7.23 crore was paid to Gauthan committees and Rs 4.78 crore to women’s SHGs. He inaugurated the program by offering prayers to Chhattisgarh Mahtari. Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Anila Bhediya, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Shishupal Shori, Antagarh MLA Mr. Anoop Nag, Advisor to Chief Minister Mr. Rajesh Tiwari were also present in Kanker. Agriculture Minister Mr.Ravindra Choubey, Agriculture Production Commissioner Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, Managing Director of Godan Nyay Mission Dr. Fakir Ayyaj Bhai Tamboli, Director of Agriculture Department Mr.Yashwant Kumar, Director Horticulture Mr.Matheswaran V., Director Veterinary Services Mrs.Chandan Sanjay Tripathi were present virtually in the program.

He said,” wherever I reached during my tour, everyone praised the Godhan Nyay Yojana. With this scheme, income of rural people has increased, and employment opportunities have also increased. Our mothers and sisters have become financially empowered. He took information about the need and supply of chemical fertilizers in the state from Agriculture Minister Mr.Ravindra Choubey, who was connected virtually with the program. The Agriculture Minister said that only 44 percent of chemical fertilizers have been supplied against the demand in the state. The Chief Minister said that given the shortage of chemical fertilizers, there is a need to promote vermicompost. He said that chemical fertilizers should be made available to the farmers as per their demand. If chemical fertilizers are not available, then vermicompost should be made available to the farmers.

He said that last year during the period 16 to 31 May 2021, cow dung worth Rs.63 lakh was purchased. Whereas for the same period of May this year, Rs 3.36 crore is being paid for purchasing cow dung. In this way, there has been an increase of 425 percent in the purchasing price of cow dung during this period. In the last year, animal rearing beneficiaries have increased by 26 percent. As of 31, May 2021, animal rearing beneficiaries were 01 lakh 68 thousand 531, as of 31 May 2022, this number has increased to 02 lakh 11 thousand 540.

While addressing the program, Agriculture Minister Mr.Ravindra Choubey said that our Chief Minister is fulfilling his promise of paying the amount to beneficiaries of the Godhan Nyay Yojana every 15 days. During his visit to Surguja, on May 5, he paid the amount to the beneficiaries of Godhan Nyay Yojana, then from Rajpur and now today from Kanker. At the beginning of the program, Agriculture Production Commissioner Dr. Kamalpreet Singh gave detailed information about the achievements of Godhan Nyay Yojana so far.
