A glimpse of Chhattisgarhi culture is being seen in this year’s Chakradhar festival organized by the Culture Department in the iron city Raigarh like every year. Local school students created a cultural atmosphere in the Chakradhar function. The students gave a captivating presentation of the local culture of Chhattisgarh through dance. In the ceremony, a glimpse of various local cultural dances like Raut Nacha, Sua, Dadriya, Karma along with cultural dances of different states of the country like Odisha, Gujarati Bihu were also seen. The residents of the city enjoyed the captivating presentation of the school children and encouraged the children. It is noteworthy that on the initiative of Collector Shri Taran Prakash Sinha, a large number of local artists as well as school and budding artists have been given opportunities in the Chakradhar Festival this year.
In the function, the children of MSP Public School gave a mesmerizing presentation with Chhattisgarhi dance on the patriotic songs Bharat Maa Ki Jai Bolav Re, Chhattisgarh Ki Jai Bolav, Tiranga Jhanda Laharae Jaavthe, Jan-Gan-Mangal Ke Dhun Gaavthe. Similarly, the children of New Horizon School gave a tremendous presentation of Karma dance on Chhattisgarhi folk song Jhulna Ma Jhoole. In this episode of the program, school children of Jindal Adarsh Gramya Bharati Higher Secondary School won the hearts of the audience with the Sambalpuri dance of Odisha.
Children displayed the folk tradition while worshiping Samlai Mata of Sambalpur. Along with this, the children of St. , kept the audience captivated with the love story of Dhola Maru and the colorful Nagan dance in Kalbeliya. The folk favorite Garba dance of Gujarat, which is seen in Chhattisgarh along with the country on the occasion of Navratri, a beautiful glimpse of which was shown on the stage today by the children of Guardian and Guide. The Bihu dance prevalent in Assam, the north-eastern state of the country, kept the audience engrossed. Whose fascinating presentation was given by the children of St. Teresa School. Children of OP Jindal School Taraimal presented on Jhansi Ki Rani Khoob Ladi Mardaani.
