Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that Kurmi society is a progressive society. Education is very important for change in any society. Emphasizing more on the education and health of daughters, he said that mother is the first teacher in life. The education, culture, behavior taught by him is useful for life. That’s why their health and education is important. Mr. Baghel was addressing the 5th state convention of Balodabazar Raj Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj organized at High School premises in village Khaparadih of Simga development block of Balodabazar-Bhatapara district today.
In the conference, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel presented a modern e-library, which will be open 24 hours a day for the preparation of competitive examinations at the district headquarters, Primary Health Center in village Tildabandha, south of Suhela, Rs 20 lakh each for Mangal Bhavan and Muktidham in village Khaparadih. And announced to upgrade the High School to Higher Secondary School in Khapradih itself. Along with this, he instructed to speed up the works related to Kumhari reservoir.
Addressing the program, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel further said that various schemes are being implemented to strengthen the economic condition of the food providers of the state. He said that the third installment of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana was paid to the farmers before Diwali this year. The fourth installment will be paid on March 31 next. The government is committed to provide the farmers with the right price for their produce. He mentioned in detail the scheme being run to bring betterment in the lives of farmers, poor and laborers including Suraji Gaon Yojana and Godhan Nyaya Yojana.
The Chief Minister appealed to the farmers to make maximum use of vermicompost being prepared in Gothans, saying that this would improve the quality of the soil as well as increase the quality of the crop. He expressed gratitude to all the farmers for making Paradan a grand campaign in Gauthan. He said that Swami Atmanand Excellent English Medium Schools are being opened in the state to provide education in English medium to the children.
Central President of Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj, Mr. Chow Ram Verma expressed gratitude on behalf of the entire Kurmi community and backward classes for giving 27 percent reservation to backward classes. Former Rajya Sabha member Mrs. Chhaya Verma, District Panchayat President Mr. Rakesh Verma, Chairman of Animal Welfare Board Mr. Vidya Bhushan Shukla, President of Farmers Welfare Board Mr. Surendra Sharma, Chairman of Text Book Corporation Mr. Shailesh Nitin Trivedi, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Mineral Development Corporation Mr. Girish Dewangan, former MLA Janakram Verma, office bearers of Kurmi Samaj and a large number of social brothers were present.
