Chief Minister participated in International Unity Sadbhavana Youth Camp-2023
Youth from 27 states of the country including Indonesia and Nepal are participating in the camp

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has said that the path of truth, non-violence, love and goodwill of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi is the way to save humanity. This was the path of Subbarao ji. Mr. Baghel met well-known Gandhian thinker Dr. S.N. He was addressing the International Ekta Sadbhavana Yuva Shivir-2023 (International Peace and Harmony Youth Camp) organized on the occasion of Subbarao’s 94th birth anniversary. Youths from 27 states of the country including Indonesia and Nepal are participating in this camp organized from 03 to 08 February.
While addressing the youth, the Chief Minister said that Subbarao ji was a staunch Gandhian, he worked to unite the country. To maintain the unity and integrity of the country, the work of bringing people speaking different languages on one platform was done. He followed the path of Gandhi ji throughout his life. The Chief Minister said that in Gandhiji’s movement, the agitators had to agitate by following the path of non-violence. It was taught at that time not to resort to violence. Even if the police use sticks. Subbarao ji trained the Gandhians on how to live in jail, to acclimatize people to the jail environment, so that the agitators would not be broken by the harassment of the British, but would resist them with full determination. During the Non-Cooperation Movement, Quit India Movement, this is the reason why the Indians faced the British strongly. Due to which the country got freedom by following the path of truth and non-violence.
The Chief Minister said that violence is never the solution to the problem. Gandhiji’s path of truth, non-violence, love and goodwill is the only way for the youth to move forward in true sense, the way to save humanity. This is the path of Subbarao ji. He said that Subbarao ji converted the dacoits of Chambal to surrender. In this camp organized today, the youth talked about humanity, unity and fraternity in their respective languages, this element unites humanity. Chandrapur MLA Mr. Ramkumar Yadav, President of National Youth Scheme Mr. Vinay Gupta, Member of State Tourism Board Mrs. Chitralekha Sahu, President of Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission Mr. Gyanesh Sharma and a large number of youth were present in the programme.
The Chief Minister said that the Government of Chhattisgarh is a government following the path of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Chhattisgarh’s model of development is based on Gandhiji’s village Suraj and self-reliance. This is also the way of Subbarao ji. The state government has worked to put money in the pockets of the people through public welfare schemes, due to which agriculture, trade and industry in Chhattisgarh is in a good condition today. Chhattisgarh is the state with the lowest unemployment rate. People are being linked to small works and they are being provided with means of income and employment.
The Chief Minister said that on the lines of Wardha’s Sevagram, Gandhi Sevagram is being established in Nava Raipur. Through this, apart from introducing the youth to Gandhism, people of the country and the world will get information about how to move forward in the direction of employment and self-reliance by introducing them to village industries. He said that under the Godhan Nyay Yojana, a large number of people in rural areas are buying cow dung for Rs. Women of self-help groups are using this cow dung to produce vermicompost, natural paint and electricity.
300 Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Parks are being set up in Chhattisgarh, in which skilled youth of the state are being given employment through establishment of small industries. Facilities like land, electricity, water, roads will be available in the Rural Industrial Park for the youth to set up industries. He said that the State Government has started Suraji Gaon Yojana. Through this, work is being done to take the entire rural society forward in the direction of self-reliance. Vermicompost is being produced in Gothans of the state. The women of the electricity group being prepared from cow dung will sell the electricity in Gauthans.
Due to farmer-friendly policies, the number of farmers in the state has increased, agricultural production has increased and the area under cultivation has also increased. Not only has the support price of millet Kodo, Kutki, Ragi been announced in Chhattisgarh in the International Millet Year, it is being procured for two years at the support price. Farmers are being given input subsidy of Rs 9000 per acre. This is the reason why farmers of Chhattisgarh are getting the highest price in the country for paddy, maize, sugarcane and millets. The Chief Minister also informed the youth about the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana for farmers, Godhan Nyay Yojana for animal herders, Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Bhoomihin Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana for landless laborers started by the state government.
