The Chief Minister garlanded her portrait on Mrs. Indira Gandhi’s birth anniversary
Raipur 19 November 2020. The Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, paid a humble tribute to former Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi by garlanding her portrait in her residence office today. Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shiv Dahria, Rajya Sabha MP Smt. Chhaya Verma, State Housing Board Chairman Shri Kuldeep Juneja, State Women Commission Chairperson Smt Kiranmayi Nayak, Mayor Shri Ejaz Dhebar, Chairman Shri Pramod Dubey were present on the occasion.
Recalling the contribution of Mrs. Indira Gandhi towards the country, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that Indiraji strived for the upliftment of the lifelong poor and the weaker sections of the society and gave up her life to protect the unity and integrity of the country. He said that Mrs. Gandhi gave a new direction to the country with foresight and firm intentions. Leading the country efficiently in challenging conditions, gave India a prestigious position on the international stage. His works can never be forgotten. Indira ji is remembered with respect in rural and tribal areas of Chhattisgarh.
