Chhattisgarh government paid Rs 2518.25 crore as remuneration and Rs 339.22 crore as incentive to Tendupatta collectors

Forest and Climate Change Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar today participated in the meet-meet program organized at villages Pandariya, Rengakharkala, Barenda, Siwanikhurd, Nagwahi, Roll and Gram Panchayat Bamhani in Bodla development block of Kabirdham district. On this occasion, Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar said that the government has implemented several schemes to connect the lives of Vananchal residents with the mainstream and to make them economically empowered, due to which the collectors dependent on forest and forest produce have got economic strength. Lakhs of forest produce collecting families of the state have got employment related to forest produce at the local level. He said that on the special initiative of the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the purchase price of minor forest produce has been increased to give the forest produce collectors the right value for their hard work. He told that in four and a half years, Tendupatta collectors were paid Rs 2518.25 crore as remuneration and Rs 339. 22 crore has been paid as incentive remuneration. In order to increase the income of tendu leaf collectors, the government has increased the tendu leaf collection rate from 2500 per standard bag to 4000 per standard bag.
Minister Mr. Akbar started the meet-meet program by worshiping Chhattisgarh Mahtari. He announced 5 lakh for the construction of community hall in village Pandariya and 5 lakh for construction of building in Rengakharkala. On this occasion, he planted saplings and also distributed saplings to the villagers and farmers present.
Minister Mr. Akbar said that the support price of forest produce has been increased. Lakhs of families of the state are getting direct and direct benefits from this. He said that the Bhupesh government is procuring 65 types of forest produce by increasing seven types of forest produce. From the year 2018-19 to 22-23, 30.35 lakh quintals of minor forest produce worth Rs 356.44 crore have been procured and secured the first position in the country. Similarly, the government increased the Mahua flower from Rs.17 to Rs.33. Tamarind increased from Rs 25 to Rs 36 per kg. Chiroji increased from Rs.93 to Rs.126. Rangini lac increased from Rs 130 to Rs 220, Kusumi lac increased from Rs 200 to Rs 300, Honey increased from Rs.195 to Rs.225. Tendupatta increased from Rs.2500 to Rs.4000 per standard bag. The increase in the support price of forest produce in Chhattisgarh has given support to lakhs of families of the state associated with forest harvesting. The faith and trust of forest produce collecting families has increased towards Bhupesh Sarkar. Minister Mr. Akbar said that the purpose of going to the Gram Panchayats to communicate directly with the common people is to know whether they are getting the benefits of the public welfare schemes of the government or not. On this occasion, public representatives including Panch-Sarpanch of concerned Gram Panchayat Mr. Hori Sahu were present.
