A processing unit is being set up on 110 acres in Jamgaon village (M) under Durg district

State Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap today visited the central processing unit in village Jamgaon (M) under Patan development block of Durg district and took stock of the current works. The Forest Minister directed the concerned to complete the quality construction work within the stipulated time frame as soon as possible. On this occasion, MP Shri Vijay Baghel and representatives of the district and Janpad Panchayat were also present. Various processing units are being set up in an area of 110 acres at a cost of about 23 crores for processing minor forest produce.
Forest Minister Mr. Kashyap also inquired about the products being processed in these units and the forest produce stored in the warehouses, millets crop, distribution after processing etc. Forest Minister Mr. Kashyap appealed to the local public representatives to plant saplings in the name of one tree mother in the entire unit premises. On this occasion, DFO Mr. Chandrashekhar Pardeshi, SDM Mr. Lavkesh Dhruv and other department officials and local public representatives were present.
