Raipur, 18th July, 2021. During the current year 2021-22, 99 lakh 45 thousand saplings are being planted by the Forest and Climate Change Department under various schemes in the state. It will be planted in 13 thousand 905 hectare area. In this, the plantation work is going on in full swing by the department. Forest Minister Shri Akbar has given priority to the plantation work at present and has given instructions to complete it with speed.
In this regard, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief of Forest Force Shri Rakesh Chaturvedi informed that of these, 44 lakh 74 thousand plants have been planted in 4,408 hectare area under RDF scheme and one lakh 84 thousand plants in 460 hectare area under RDBF scheme. Planting is being done. Similarly, through village forest committees, 4 thousand medicinal plants in 100 hectare area, 35 thousand in 30 hectare area under tree plantation program in lieu of encroachment management, 28 thousand in 28 hectare area under path planting scheme, 102 hectares under riverbank planting. Plantation of one lakh 12 thousand saplings is going on in the area and under the environmental forestry program, three thousand saplings are being planted in three hectares. Of these, 41 lakh 68 thousand in 4 thousand 407 hectare area under CAMPA, 6 lakh in 4 thousand 316 hectare area under MNREGA, 47 thousand in 47 hectare area under Harrier Fund program and 2 lakh 92 in 350 hectare area under other schemes. Planting of thousands of saplings is going on.
In this, 22 lakh 84 thousand plants are being planted in 2 thousand 980 hectare area under Vanvrit Bilaspur. Similarly, planting of 3 lakh 26 thousand saplings is going on in 3 thousand 37 hectare area under Durg forest circle and 9 lakh 26 thousand in one thousand 11 hectare area under Jagdalpur forest circle. Apart from this, 4 lakh 26 thousand in 535 hectare area under Kanker forest circle, 7 lakh 93 thousand in 934 hectare area under Raipur forest circle and 51 lakh 90 thousand plants in 5 thousand 408 hectare area under Surguja forest circle. .
