New ration cards distributed to beneficiaries

Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Shri Dayaldas Baghel participated in the Bhoomi Pujan program in Nagar Panchayat Maro of Navagarh development block of Bemetara district. He performed Bhoomi Pujan of various development works worth Rs 1 crore 78 lakh 14 thousand. Bhoomi pujan of development works includes RCC drain, CC road, and Mangal Bhawan in various wards. The Food Minister also distributed new ration cards to the beneficiaries.
Food Minister Shri Baghel said in his address that under the Krishak Unnati Yojana, the government of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has given assistance amounting to Rs 13,320 crore directly into the bank accounts of 24.72 lakh farmers. A new record of paddy purchase at support price has been made in the state. Paddy worth 145 lakh metric tonnes has been purchased from more than 24 lakh 72 thousand farmers. Rs 31 thousand 914 crore has been paid to the farmers in lieu of paddy purchase. He said that the Chhattisgarh government has started distributing free food grains to the families holding Anyodya and Priority Ration cards for the next 5 years. 67 lakh 92 thousand 153 ration card holding families of the state are being benefited. The women of the state have got the benefit of 36 lakh 76 thousand gas connections under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. On this occasion, Mr. Tarjan Sahu, Mr. Anju Baghel, Mr. Paras Verma, Mr. Dhanlal Deshalre, Mrs. Aaradhya Madho Chhatriya, and all the officers and employees were present.
