70 couples got married under Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana

Today, 70 couples got married under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana in the Higher Secondary School campus of Sambalpur in Navagarh development block of Bemetara district. Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Shri Dayal Das Baghel blessed the newly married couple, extended his good wishes and presented gifts. He said that Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana is a boon for economically weak families. Through this scheme, it is a good means to end the evils like wasteful expenditure and dowry system. The parents of such girls are not facing financial problems.
‘Food Minister Shri Baghel said that marriage is an important part of social life. It is not only the union of the bride and groom but also the uniting of two families. He said that we all have an important role in the society, be it social, cultural or economic. We all have to discharge our responsibilities together. The state government has made many better schemes for the betterment of the people, one of which is Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana, the benefits of which are being availed by poor people of every section of the state. He also congratulated and congratulated the team of District Administration and Women and Child Development Department for successfully organizing the program.
District Program Officer, Women and Child Development Shri BD Patel said that today 70 couples got married under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana. On this occasion, District Panchayat Navagarh President Mrs. Anjali Markandey, a large number of family members of the bride and groom, officers and employees of the Women and Child Development Department were present.
