Raipur, 06 November 2021. Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Shri Amarjit Bhagat attended the Govardhan Puja organized at village Bihibari, Lalmuda, Baighwa and Sapnadar Gothan under Mainpat today. Shri Bhagat along with the villagers performed Govardhan Puja by law and fed jaggery laddus and green fodder to the cows. Minister Shri Bhagat gave approval of Rs 2 lakh for the construction of roof in Devasthal temple premises of village Sapnadar and participated in the 3-day Govardhan Yagya organized here. He discussed with the general public about their problems and solved the problems immediately. He directed the officers to take action as per rules to provide Community Forest Rights letter for the place adjoining the Devasthal.
Minister Shri Bhagat said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, the State Government is working in the interest of farmers. The state government is procuring paddy from the farmers at the support price. Godhan Nyay Yojana has been started for the service of the farmers. The Chhattisgarh government is working to put money in the pockets of the general public and farmers and laborers by buying paddy and forest produce from cow dung. The state government has started celebrating the day of Govardhan Puja as Gothan Day. During this, Shri Bhagat informed that he has written a letter to cancel the proposed Alumina Refinery Factory at Chiranga, Batauli.
Local public representatives, officers-employees and a large number of villagers were present on the occasion.
