Raipur 6 March 2021. Dilip Deep of Santoshi Nagar or Bablu Khan of Pensionabad, Yogesh of Bhilai or Radhe Tandi residing in Nawapara Rajim. They are all laborers. Their routine starts at 5 am to 6 am. Even though these workers would have to worry about getting work in the day before going to sleep at night, but they are guaranteed that it will not be empty stomach tomorrow morning. The workers know very well that they do not get work in Chawadi, they will definitely get a lot of food. The workers do not have to worry about food at home in the morning due to the availability of food at a very low rate. It also does not delay them to go to their work place. The Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Shram Anna Yojana run by the Labor Department under the direction of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and Labor Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria is proving to be a boon for thousands of poor laborers.
On an average, more than 2 thousand unorganized, construction and organized workers in the state take advantage of the labor food scheme every day. After the labor card is generated, the unorganized and construction workers are given warm food (pulses, rice, vegetables, pickles) for Rs 5 and organized workers for Rs 10. In a total of 22 centers, laborers are fed food. In which Raipur district has a dining center near Telibandha, Gandhi Maidan, Serikhedi, Urala and Magneto Mall.
Laborer Bablu Khan is continuously taking advantage of this scheme. He told that he comes to work in Chavadi (place of gathering of laborers) of Gandhi Maidan. There is a wife and young children in the house. After getting up in the morning, take a bath and leave directly from the house and come to the Labor Food Planning Center near Chavadi to have a full meal. Laborer Bablu Khan said that due to the government giving food to the laborers for 5 and 10 rupees, there is no hurry to cook food in the morning. After eating food on time, he goes to Chavadi and is present for work. There is no problem in doing any work after having food in the morning.
Dilip Deep of Santoshi Nagar said that for him, the Shram Anna Yojana is like a big relief. In this era of inflation of 10 rupees, getting dal, rice and vegetable laborers in the morning is like a relief for us. Radhe Tandi, a laborer who comes to Raipur from Naya Para Rajim, said that he works as a tent house. He said that the availability of food in the morning provides relief to him and his family in many ways. Rajesh Tandi told that he comes to Chavadi for daily wages. Work takes place after a meal at the labor grain center. Most of the laborers visiting these centers say that there is no worry of food in the morning, they get wages on time. Earlier it used to take time to cook and eat food at home and there was also delay in going to work. Now it is not so. This initiative of the Government of Chhattisgarh has brought him a lot of relief.
