Raipur, 13 April 2021. Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu held a meeting of Inspectors General of Police and Superintendents of Police of all ranges through video conferencing from his Raipur residence office today. Reviewing the status and law and order of the lockdown imposed in the districts for prevention of corona infection, he said that in coordination with the district administration and strictly follow the lockdown. He took information about the activities going on during the lockdown and Gave necessary guidelines for smooth operation.
The Home Minister said that we have a lot to learn from the experience of the previous lockdown. Based on the same experience, we have to work in action mode. He said that police hospitals can be used as kovid centers for personnel. In order to prevent the spread of corona infection, coordinate with the district administration to get people in your division and districts to follow the rules of lockdown and be prompt in checking points. Regularize petroling in day and night, keep patrolling in street, locality as well. He also instructed the police officers to keep law and order in their respective districts after monitoring the illegal business of illicit liquor and intoxicants, studying the Nature of Crime in the lock-down of last year. The Home Minister said that the complaints of black marketing of drugs and illegal sale of Remedesvir vaccine and selling at an over rate should be taken immediately.
He said that all IGs and SPs should get 100 per cent vaccination of all police department personnel and martyred families in their district and ensure the provision of masks and sanitizers in all the police stations and if required staff should also put the trainee DSP in duty field. He also directed to provide adequate protection to doctors, nurses and other employees engaged in treatment while following the guide line to stop the infection of corona infection. In the video conferencing, Additional Chief Secretary Home Shri Subrata Sahu, Director General of Police Shri RK Vij and senior officials of Home Department and Inspector General and Superintendent of Police of all the range were involved.
