The Chief Minister announced at the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected state office bearers of Chhattisgarh Nishad (Kenwat) society.

Approval of Rs. 01 crore for building of fishermen society

Chief Minister Shri Baghel asked the people of Nishad Kenwat community to take up fish farming using new techniques of fish farming, cage and bio-floc techniques. He said that the people of the fishermen community should make a committee and take advantage of the finance facility for the cage and bio-floc unit, in which grant is also given. This will give more economic benefits to the fish farmers and the production of fish will also increase in the state.                                                                                                                                                Mr. Baghel said that it is the endeavor of the State Government to increase the income of the farmers, those who do dairy business, animal husbandry, fisheries, collection of forest produce. He said that Chhattisgarh has become self-sufficient in terms of fish seed production. From here fish seed is being supplied to many states including Uttar Pradesh and Odisha. He said that the society which connects with education, that society progresses. The fishermen society should also take the children forward in the field of education.
