The Chief Minister announced at the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected state office bearers of Chhattisgarh Nishad (Kenwat) society.
Approval of Rs. 01 crore for building of fishermen society
The people of the fishermen society should take maximum advantage of the policy of giving agriculture status to fisheries. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that the state’s fisheries policy will be approved in the next cabinet meeting. The draft Fisheries Policy has been prepared. The Chief Minister made this announcement at the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected oWhile addressing the function, the Chief Minister said that policy is made by the state government in the interest of the people of the society, but it is the responsibility of the society to benefit maximum number of people. He said that fisheries have been given the status of agriculture in Chhattisgarh. Under this policy, people doing fisheries are being given interest-free loans and exemption in electricity charges like farmers. To take advantage of these provisions, the people of the society should come forward in maximum numbers. On the request of Shri Kunwar Singh Nishad, Parliamentary Secretary and newly elected President of Nishad Kenwat Samaj, he announced the approval of an amount of Rs.ffice bearers of Chhattisgarh Nishad Kenwat Samaj organized at Sardar Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in Raipur today.

On the request of Shri Kunwar Singh Nishad, Parliamentary Secretary and newly elected President of Nishad Kenwat Samaj, he announced the approval of an amount of Rs. Chief Minister Shri Baghel administered the oath to the newly elected office bearers in the ceremony and congratulated and congratulated the office bearers on getting new responsibility. Agriculture and Water Resources Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey, Food and Culture Minister Mr. Amarjit Bhagat, Parliamentary Secretaries Mr. Kunwar Singh Nishad and Ms. Shakuntala Sahu, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Fishermen Welfare Board Mr. MR Nishad, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation Shri Girish Devangan was also present. On reaching the program, the Chief Minister offered prayers to Lord Shri Ram, Mata Janaki and devotee Guharaj Nishad. On this occasion, he released a book published on Bilasa Devi Kenwat titled “Pratimurti of Shaurya” and “Dandakaranya Ka Gandhi” on Indru Kenwat.
Chief Minister Shri Baghel asked the people of Nishad Kenwat community to take up fish farming using new techniques of fish farming, cage and bio-floc techniques. He said that the people of the fishermen community should make a committee and take advantage of the finance facility for the cage and bio-floc unit, in which grant is also given. This will give more economic benefits to the fish farmers and the production of fish will also increase in the state. Mr. Baghel said that it is the endeavor of the State Government to increase the income of the farmers, those who do dairy business, animal husbandry, fisheries, collection of forest produce. He said that Chhattisgarh has become self-sufficient in terms of fish seed production. From here fish seed is being supplied to many states including Uttar Pradesh and Odisha. He said that the society which connects with education, that society progresses. The fishermen society should also take the children forward in the field of education.
While congratulating and congratulating the newly elected office bearers, Agriculture and Water Resources Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the work of awakening Chhattisgarhia’s identity has been done well. Work has been done to give respect to the Nishad Kenwat society. Bilaspur Airport is named after Bilasa Devi Kenwat, Arjunda Mahavidyalaya is named after Shaheed Durvasa Nishad, Kawardha Matsya Mahavidyalaya is named after Punaram Nishad. He said that a square in Naya Raipur would be named after the devotee Guharaj Nishad. He said that on the initiative of the Chief Minister, fisheries have been given the status of agriculture.
