Raipur, 18 March 2021. Culture Minister Shri Amarjeet Bhagat instructed to expedite the construction of the proposed film CT in Nawa Raipur near Purakhoti Muktangan in a meeting held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhavan. The film whistle will be constructed on an area of 115 acres. Minister Shri Bhagat reviewed the Chhattisgarh Film Policy, Film Development Corporation, Financial Assistance to Artists, etc. during the review of the work of the Department of Culture. He inquired about the budget and expenditure allocated to the department in these works.
Officials in the meeting told that Chhattisgarh Film Policy has been made. This year 250 artists have been assisted. Various rare instruments were made by the department and around 100 mandars have also been distributed among the artists. Research seminar is also organized by the department. Secretary of the Culture Department, Mr. Anbalagan P., Director Mr. Vivek Acharya and other officers were present in the meeting.
