Governor Shri Vishwabhushan Harichandan, during his stay in Odisha, inaugurated the National Odisha Swabhiman Sammelan organized at Jayadeva Bhavan, Bhubaneswar today. Mr. Harichandan, present as the chief guest in the conference, remembered the glorious culture, literature, history, tradition of Odisha on this occasion. He said that the caste whose forefathers spread the empire from Ganga to Godavari, hoisted the flag of Odisha and inscribed the name of Odisha in golden letters, the people of that caste should not be cowards and should fight for their rights and entitlements.
Shri Harichandan said that the literature of Orissa is as rich as it is beautiful. Odisha’s literature has the philosophy, the art of living and the courage to call the whole world its family. We should be proud to be the children of such a great nation. Our culture and traditions foster relationships and create harmony and provide an attitude of living together. Our military power gives the message of peace and inspires us to fight against injustice, tyranny and corruption. Governor Mr. Harichandan said that our history inspires us to leave aside differences and live together.
On this occasion, the Governor called upon the people to stand up for the oppressed and get their rights. The present time is not of sword or cannon but of peace and law. Every man should feel proud to serve his mother, soil and country. Consider the world as one family and extend our hands to each other. Fight against injustice and oppression and bring happiness on the faces of the youth by giving them their rights.
