Raipur 27 May 2021. The general manager of Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Marketing Association said that now DAP fertilizer will be supplied to the farmers of the state at the rate of Rs. 1200 per bag. The increased price of fertilizer has come down due to increase in subsidy on DAP fertilizer by the Government of India from May 20. It may be noted that due to the sudden increase in the price of fertilizer by DAP fertilizer producing companies by about 900 rupees per bag, its price was increased from Rs 1200 per bag to about Rs 1900 per bag, which again due to increase in subsidy Has been reduced from Rs. 1200 per bag.
It is worth noting that in the tender invited by the Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Marketing Association for the supply of DAP fertilizer in the state for the Kharif season 2021, the rate of Rs 1800 to Rs 2026 was given for the supply of DAP fertilizer per sack by the producing companies. To ensure availability of DAP fertilizer in the state, it was decided by the state level fertilizer purchasing committee to purchase DAP at the rate of MRP per bag from 1800 to 1950 rupees. The General Manager of Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Marketing Association informed that 30,119 metric tonnes of DAP fertilizer was supplied to the state by the suppliers before May 20, 2021. No guidelines have yet been received from the Government of India regarding the additional subsidy on the said quantity of fertilizer. A new rate of Rs. 1200 per bag will be applied on the said quantity of DAP fertilizer supplied by the suppliers before 20 May as soon as the instructions for increasing subsidy are received. The price of DAP fertilizer supplied by the suppliers after May 20 in the state of Chhattisgarh has been fixed at Rs 1200 per bag and farmers have been instructed to make it available at Rs 1200 per bag.
