Chief Minister gave instructions to the collectors regarding the purchase of paddy
“Keep full preparation for the purchase of paddy in the state”
Paddy will be purchased in the state from November 1

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has given instructions to all the district collectors to make complete preparations for the purchase of paddy at the support price for the Kharif marketing year 2022-23. The Chief Minister clearly said that farmers should not face any kind of problem in selling paddy. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel was addressing a two-day Collector-SP conference organized in the capital Raipur from today. He also reviewed the preparations for procurement of paddy in the state including law and order and implementation of various government schemes.
On the first day of the Collector-SP conference, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel spoke directly to the District Collector on the preparations at the district level regarding the procurement of paddy for the Kharif marketing year 2022-23. During this, while directing, he said that the procurement of paddy is going to start in the state from November, so keep full preparations in this regard. It is worth mentioning that as per the announcement of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, paddy procurement will be started in Chhattisgarh state from November 1. For the Kharif marketing year 2022-23, the target of purchasing paddy on support price has been fixed at 1 crore 10 lakh metric tonnes. In such a situation, emphasis was laid on the availability of gunny bags on priority including necessary arrangements and facilities in the paddy centers.
