Health department review meeting concluded under the chairmanship of Chief Minister

While giving instructions to all the major officials of the Health Department, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has said that health facilities should continue to expand in the interest of the general public. He has said that better facilities should be ensured for patients in hospitals and they should get good treatment near their homes. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai was reviewing various schemes of the Health Department in his residential office located in Raipur Civil Lines today. 

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has instructed the health department officials to work on diseases like anemia, maternal program and leprosy on priority basis. The Chief Minister said that there will be no shortage in the treatment of the common people and for this the vacant posts in the health department will also be filled soon through PSC and Vyapam. 

In the meeting, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal gave information about the achievements made in the field of health after the formation of the state government and also put forward the future plans before the Chief Minister. Giving information about the meeting, Health Department Secretary Shri Amit Kataria said that Chhattisgarh state is doing better work towards the elimination of diseases like TB and malaria. The treatment success rate towards TB elimination is 90 percent, while during this period 100 percent TB patients have been notified. Along with this, 94 percent of the vaccination target has been achieved in the state by March 2025. 

Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary of Health Department Mr. Amit Kataria, Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. P Dayanand, Commissioner Medical Education and Commissioner AYUSH Department Mrs. Shikha Rajput Tiwari, Managing Director NHM and Commissioner cum Director Dr. Priyanka Shukla, Controller of Food and Drugs Department Mr. Deepak Agarwal, CGMSC Managing Director Mrs. Padmini Bhoi Sahu and senior officers of Health Department were present in the review meeting of the Health Department.
