Deputy Ministerial Committee meeting chaired by Housing and Environment Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar
Raipur, 08 February 2021. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the State Government has started the initiative to regularize irregular buildings in the present perspective. For this, a meeting of the Deputy Ministerial Committee was constituted today in connection with the regularization of irregular buildings in his residence office under the chairmanship of the Minister of Housing and Environment, Mr. Mohammad Akbar. Revenue Minister Shri Jaisingh Agrawal was specially present in the meeting. In view of the wide public interest in the meeting of the Deputy Ministerial Committee, how the irregularities and buildings can be regularized in the present environment, what should be the rules and legislation for this, was discussed in detail. In the forthcoming meeting, it was decided to submit concrete proposals and suggestions to the members for amending this old law. It was also discussed in the meeting that illegal construction should not be made legal.
It is noteworthy that in the year 2002, a law has been enacted in the year 2002 to regularize irregular constructions-buildings by imposing some economic fees along with administrative procedure. Under this, beneficiaries apply to regularize irregular construction. The committee constituted under the chairmanship of the District Collector concerned, regularizes the engineer with some pecuniary fee. Keeping in view the wide interest, a Deputy Ministerial Committee has been constituted by the State Government to amend this law to make it more beneficial and beneficial. The committee discussed various points of this law and stressed on making better laws in the interest of common citizens. Additional Chief Secretary Shri Subrata Sahu was present in the meeting.
