Raipur, 19 October 2020. State Industries Minister and Minister in charge of Dhamtari district, Mr. Kavasi Lakhma reviewed the departmental works during a stay in Dhamtari today by meeting the officials of the Department of Industries and Excise. During this, he distributed loan sanction orders to five beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana operated under the Industries Department. Also, the Excise Department was directed to take continuous action against illegal manufacture, storage, transportation and sale.
In the review meeting, Minister in-charge Mr. Lakhma instructed the officers of both the departments to make sustained efforts to meet the target set in the current financial year. General Manager Industries Shri S.P. Goswami said that the process of land acquisition is being done by identifying land in all four development blocks for the food park industrial area. He informed that a mega food park is operational in village Banjari Bagaud of Kurud development block. He also informed that the establishment of Small Forest Produce Processing Park at Shyamatarai is also under process. Minister Shri Lakhma also reviewed industrial establishment and loan cases in the district during this period. On this occasion, the Industries Minister gave Rs. 50 lakhs to 05 beneficiaries Mr. Omprakash Dagore, Rs. 40 lakhs to Mrs. Parveen Hingora, Rs. 10 lakhs to Mr. Vaibhav Gupta for construction business under Chief Minister Yuva Swarozgar Yojana.
In the review meeting of the Excise Department, he inquired about revenue receipt and departmental activities. The District Excise Officer said that a target of Rs 161.17 crore has been set in the financial year 2020-21, against which the revenue of Rs 55 crore has been achieved till the second quarter of September 2020. The District Excise Officer informed the Cabinet Minister Mr. Lakhma about the action taken so far in different circles by the departmental staff. Officers of the department were present on the occasion.
