Raipur, 15 May 2021. State Commercial Tax (Excise) Minister Kavasi Lakhma today held a virtual meeting of Excise Officers of all the districts from NIC Room at Sukma District Headquarters. He reviewed the action being taken for the prevention and control of transport of illicit liquor in the districts. Along with this, he gave necessary guidelines while discussing the online delivery of liquor in the state.

Minister  Lakhma reviewed the illegal liquor cases in the districts and made a detailed review. For effective control of illegal liquor transport from the border states, actively instructed to check and take action strictly on the checkpoints.

No extra charges for home delivery
Minister Lakhma said that the government should not levy any additional charges other than the fixed fees of alcohol, delivery charge and GST. At the same time, for the order of liquor, only online payment should be taken and the home delivery service should be run systematically, so for this, the emphasis was on increasing the time for delivery. Also, if delivery was not provided to the customer for any reason, then he instructed to transfer the amount back to his bank account immediately. When placing an order online, ensure availability of sufficient quantity of alcohol, so that customers do not face any difficulty in ordering. The customers were instructed to deliver the liquor on the same day the order is placed.

Do not be negligent in online delivery
During the discussion regarding online delivery of liquor being done in the state, Minister Shri Lakhma said that during the lockdown, it was decided to stop the sale of illicit liquor in the state and to increase revenue receipts, home delivery of liquor. is. He instructed all the officials involved in the virtual meeting to take strict action against the officer / employee concerned in case of any negligence or disturbance in this work. In the districts where there is a problem in home delivery of liquor, it is said to consider increasing the number of vehicles and employees as per the requirement so that the benefit of home access service can be provided to the customers in a smooth manner. Along with this, the home delivery employees were also required to vaccinate the Kovid vaccine and to check the corona periodically.
