Excise officers engaged in procrastination attaching
Raipur, 11 March 2021. On March 9, by the Excise Department, the accused has been sent on judicial remand by seizing a case under Excise Act 34 (2) against the people confiscating liquor illegally stored in Urkura. In view of the seriousness of the case and the lax control of the Excise Officers in charge of Khamtarai area, Mrs. Deep Mahish, Officer-in-charge of Khamtarai Circle, Assistant District Excise Officer and Mr. Anil Mittal, Excise Sub-Inspector posted in the circle, were removed from the district and divisional Udaanadasta Raipur division respectively. And the state level Udaanda, Raipur has been attached (attached) and further action is being taken separately against the officials concerned.
According to the information received from the Excise Department, on March 9, under the area of Urkura, police station Khamtarai, accused Heman Das Dakkhani father, late Jeevat Ram Dakkhani age 43 years, Sakin Tilda Camp, Bolero vehicle no. 04 FL 0767 in English liquor Royal Deluxe 15 boxes and Manish Sajwani’s warehouse Urkura hired by accused Heman Das, liquor illegally kept by Bluestar Deluxe Whiskey 200 Petty, Captain Blue Reserve Whiskey English Liquor 72 Petty, Bluestar Deluxe Whiskey in 10 white plastic sacks, Captain Blue Reserve whiskey in 5 plastic white sacks and Royal Deluxe English liquor 05 plastic sack, total quantity of about 2703.600 bulk liters of wine costing approximately Rs.38 lakh 23 thousand 920, was seized and Excise Act 34 (2) Under the case, the accused was sent on judicial remand.
