According to the intention of the Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, excellent Gauthans at the state and district level will be rewarded and honored in the Independence Day celebrations on 15th August. Three best Gauthans of the state will be given a prize of Rs. 50 thousand each at the state level Independence Day function and a prize of Rs. 25-25 thousand will be given to one excellent Gauthan of each district at the district level function. In the ceremony, the Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat related to excellent Gauthan and the President of Gothan Samiti will also be honored by the Chief Guest by presenting a shawl, Shriphal, a citation and a symbol. 10 lakh has been approved in the meeting of Godan Nyay Mission for awarding excellent cows.
The Agriculture Department has fixed a total of 100 marks for the selection of excellent cowsheds, considering the basis of infrastructure, dung purchase and compost production, diverse livelihood and self-reliance. Under infrastructure, a maximum of 7 marks has been fixed for geo-tagging including water, electricity, shed, kotna construction, solar pump, fencing in Gauthans. Under dung purchase and compost production in Gauthans, active purchase of dung, quantity, active dung seller, availability of vermi stitches, ratio of dung to compost conversion, sale of vermi compost against production and percentage of standard samples, maximum 71 marks fixed Whereas in Gauthans, maximum 12 points are fixed for livelihood activities and average income per member of women’s group and maximum 10 points for installment number of payments made by self-supporting Gauthans for purchase of cow dung.
For the selection of excellent Gauthans, a committee has been constituted at the district and state level, by which the selection of excellent Gauthans will be inspected and evaluated according to the criteria set on the basis of data entered in Godhan Nyay Yojana portal/GMAP. In order to reward one Gothan at the district level, two excellent Gauthans will be selected and rewarded by the District Level Committee after inspection and evaluation. In the event of the district level selected excellent Gauthan being selected at the state level, the excellent Gauthan who secured the second position at the district level will be eligible for the district level award.
In order to award three Gauthans at the state level, the names of two excellent Gauthans selected at the district level will be sent to the committee constituted for inspection and evaluation of Gauthans under the chairmanship of Joint Director Agriculture at the divisional level after the approval of the Collector. Only the proposals made available by the Divisional Level Committee to the Directorate of Agriculture by August 7 will be valid. The committee constituted at the Directorate level will select three excellent Gauthans for the state level out of the excellent Gauthans received on the recommendation of the Divisional Level Committee and will make the list available to the Government by August 8 for administrative approval.
